 Job Description

This role requires a candidate who has the willingness to learn and work on both web and mobile 

testing along with web services/API and mobile automation. The candidate must have good 

designing and programming skills with Java/Python or any other in-demand programming language.

Responsibilities

 • Responsible for the automation of front-end applications using Selenium WebDriver/Katalon/Cypress etc.

• Responsible for developing and maintaining functional, regression, integration and end-to-end tests using Java and/or Python.

• Responsible for maintaining and enhancing test automation frameworks.

• Responsible for assisting and creating scalable, maintainable and distributed test frameworks/tools for continuous integration.

• Responsible for thinking strategically to improve testing processes while providing high quality and scalable solutions.

• Responsible for conducting performance and load testing on the application in test.

• Responsible for assisting peersthrough differentissues and timely reporting testmetrices and test reports to seniors.

• Responsible for taking ownership of the test deliverable.

• If you have done a lot of web test automation, you could start looking into mobile automation (with Appium or similar tools) or explore desktop test automation tools.

• Tester To Business Analyst/Program Manager/Scrum Master

• This is a natural fit for many testers because most of the jobs done by testers are already heavily into these roles by doing analysis on various business problems related to feature work, managing stories, and sometimes managing the overall work of the project. These roles are natural extensions of testing, especially the role of analyst, where workflows, usability, and communication are essential.

• Tester To Automation Specialist

• To really be successful in this position, you’ll need to keep your testing skills sharp and branch out beyond writing tests for automation frameworks. This might require you to understand different coding languages and tools that can be used to extend and improve a development group’s ability to ship quality code.

• TestOps

• Automated tests need to be executed many times per day in a CI/CD environment, ideally for each new build. This is usually covered by DevOps, but this is a type of activity doable by SDETs too. TestOps is responsible for utilizing tools and identifying tech to implement visual, performance, security, functional and API testing to make the processes faster.
